Subject: [ferrethealth] Me and Cashew
Hi! I've been lurking on this list for about 6 weeks now..... reading
and attempting to educate myself about ferrets. My ferrret, Cashew,
(Female Marshall's) is not yet a year old and is in perfect health and
I want to keep it this way!
I have heard conflicting advice about ferrets needing buddies. I would
consider adopting another ferret if it is in Cashew's best interest but
right now she and my 6 month old kitten are best of friends and
partners in crime!
What is the general consensus? Do ferrets always need ferret buddies
or can they be loners? I have (well Cashew has) a huge cage filled
with toys and hammocks and tents, and tubes..... ferret chaos! And we
got snow today so she's going to get to go digging too!
