I agree completely, I had a great time with my first ferret,
Sally, we went walking everyday for over an hour, digging
under tree roots and snorkeling in piles of leaves and mown
grass (she did, I just watched) and we were very closely
bonded. When she was 2 I got a companion for her, Sue.
They became the best of friends after initial hissing fits and
became the terrible two and I felt that both their lives were
enhanced and my relationship with her did not suffer at all.
If you do get get a buddy for her be prepared for the loss
that one will show when the other dies. Though I haven't
done it myself it is proabably better to have 3, then one is
never left alone (from 'Rationalising Ferret Math 101').

Tony, Sugar and Suki.
In memory of Sally and Sue.
