To each his or her own. I prefer the syringe approach for sub cu. It is something to have the
vet or vet tech teach you how to do. Go by your own vet's guidelines.
Important point that vets have hammered home so I am repeating: before trying force
feeding or forced fluids have the vet or vet tech teach how to do it safely. Inhaled fluids or
foods can cause aspiration pneumonia.
