Again, I should have bee more explicit in what I was saying. When I
say "force feed" I mean in the safe, ferret method described by other
posters. When I "force feed" my kids, this entails sitting them in my
lap and having them wither lap baby food off my finger, or off the
end of a plastic bottle. I never squirt it directly into their
mouths, which can result in aspiration. In essence, it is not "force
feeding" per se, but merely gentle coaxing.
