I love it when references appear!

When Hilbert had hydronephrosis (combo of cystine stones and a bladder diverticulum) we
had to get at least 150 ml (cc) of fluid into him each day. Luckily, he drank well for us when
we used a Dr. Clown Spoondropper (which is not a spoon but named that way for the
measurements) dripping it in front of his face to take at his own pace. (Also a method we
use for some who have trouble eating.) because he could get an IV out in fewer than 5
seconds flat so his drinking well for us meant that he needed only one sub cu a day for most
of his recovery. Even when he had already gotten in the full amount out vet felt safest with
us giving a sub-cu at night in case one of us fell asleep on her or his shift.
