My ferret Nilla used the Tufts Protocol. The pill is Leukeran.
Nilla was on Prednisone, not Prenisilone, (excuse the spelling), so I
am not sure. But with Pred, the drugs did not affect the pred.
I have mailed my Nilla folder with all the dosages and such to Support
Our Shelters for verification of my shelter status, but when I get it
back, I will post in the files, all of the dosages and treatments that
were done, and then will be mailing it to Tufts so they can see it.
Nilla ended up dying of an unrelated tumor of the vena cava.
She never showed signs of lymphoma or side effects once we started the
protocol and went into remission within 2 months.
What exactly is the protocol for this ferret? Does it have lymphoma?
Has it's blood been checked recently to see if there has been bone
marrow suppression?
