I have used dish washingf liquid from time to time if a invasion of fleas hit.
I dosent hurt the ferrets, might dry out the skin a bit
but like I said "if" a invasion of fleas hit from a newbie brought into the home,it
does wonders, can also be used on dogs and cats.

Don't know if this will help or not, but, years ago we picked up a
"free"
kitten only to get her home and find that she was full of fleas. When
I say
full of fleas, I mean to the extent that she was scratching herself raw
and
bloody. It was a holiday weekend (naturally) with no vets opened so I
called the local emergency vet's office. The vet told me that fleas
were
NOT an emergency, no matter how bad. She then told me to give the
kitten a
bath with Pert shampoo. I figured, what the heck, ran to Meijers for
the
shampoo, and, gave the kitten a bath. It killed every flea on her
body!!!!
Don't know what's in that bottle but I'm not about to use it on my
head.
