Subject: [ferrethealth] Ferret with swollen vulva

I have a 5 year old female spayed ferret. I noticed her vulva was
swollen about 14 days ago. I took her to our vet and he state she had
an infection so he started her on some antibiotics for 14 days and to
call when finished. The swelling has not improved. He now states that
she probably has adrenal disease and will need surgery. I asked him
about the Luprolide and or Melatonin injections and he wasnt familiar
with either. I was wondering if anyone had other recomendatins of more
ferret knowledgeable vets in my area. I am in the Birmingham, Alabama
metro area.
