Treat them as young Children. I've found that keeping the lower branches of the
Christmas tree bare, and tying tennis balls to them keeps them happy and active for hours on end. Once they get them down, they will take them to their normal hiding place. (they will aalso chase after them when you roll them for them. Similar to a kitten.)
