Subject: [ferrethealth] Pepcid for upset ferret stomachs
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Does anyone have any info on what the safest pepcid is for ferrets?
My vet said not to use liquid Pepto Bismol, as it has a form of
aspirin in it. I had been using some liquid famotidine, but he does
not have it in liquid form any more. I could try tablets if need be,
but Neo takes liquid from a syring better than he would a tablet, or
portion of a tablet.

Neo already does get carafate at least 30 minutes before eating, but
he needs something else for upset stomach. He has not been vomiting,
but he is also clearly uncomfortable more often than not after eating.
