Unfortunately it sounds like the meds are not making a difference for your
poor guy. I suspect with the fluid in the abdomen that he has metastatic
lymphoma with liver lesions and the liver is failing. I don't have good
news for you. Also with the decrease in urination it may be that his
kidneys are starting to fail as well and he may be developing a form that
causes the urine to shut down. It should increase with the lasix if it will
at all so again a bad sign. The fluid is making him really uncomfortable
and there is a possibility that he is septic (raging infection thruout his
body) which could stem from a perotonitis due to s tear in the intestinal
tract.

I really wish I had better news for you and more help. I suspect he is
getting painful too. Keep him as comfortable as you can. Love him as much
as is possible (and then some), lots of TLC and your best wishes and
permission to move on if it is his time. This can help. I hope I am wrong
but I just want you to be prepared. Some respond beautifully and others
don't and it is a fight we can't always win. It is up to them really.
Sometimes all we can do is love them enough to let them go. All the best to
you and your precious Moki!

Dr. Sue
