Subject: [ferrethealth] Orange patches on skin

My two 11 mon old ferrets (one male sable, the other female silver)
have orange flaky patches on their skin. They are all over their
bodies. The female does not appear to be itchy at all (relatively
speaking for a ferret). Her coat is nice and soft, no hair loss. The
male is itchier than her, all over. His coat is more coarse, but I
thought males usually were. No hair loss on him either. No sores or
anything on either of them...just the light orange flaky spots. It has
been quite some time since I washed their bedding (at least a couple
weeks) and when I did I used the same soap as I do for my clothes
(tide). Neither ferret appears uncomfortable. Appetites and energy are
normal. No diet or treat changes. I was jsut curious...Has anyone seen
this before? Should I be concerned?
