Okay, I can't find any veterinary journal articles (so far) showing Vetoryl=
to be an effective
medication for ferrets with adrenal disease.

According to another site there is this from Ferret's Magazine (but I don't=
know which
year):

BEGIN QUOTE
Vetoryl is a new medice that is used in adrenal dogs. Unfortunately this pr=
oduct increases
17-hydroxyprogesterone levels in dogs. This is one of the common hormones t=
hat is
elevated in ferrets with adrenal gland disease. It will likely raise this h=
ormone in ferrets
too, and make the adrenal problem even worse.
preliminary work with Vetoryl in the Netherlands has shown this to be the c=
ase.

Okay, I found the magazine article for you:
http://www.reptilesmagazine.com/FERRETS/detail.aspx?aid=3D21229&cid=3D3854&=
category=3D

Medications listed to avoid in a side box for that article are: Mitotane/Ly=
sodren,
Ketoconazole, Trilostane/Vetoryl, and Tamoxifen

Since work in the Netherlands was mentioned that could be Dr. Nico Schoemak=
er's work
which is some of the most advanced and best on adrenal disease in ferrets.

This is not opening for me right now but looks potentially interesting from=
the few words
on Google, though I have no idea what it will say either way:
