Subject: [ferrethealth] Tooth Loss

Hello,
We took in a rescue with severe dental problems. We took him to our
wonderful vet who is the local ferret expert and he did his dental
work, after a round of antibiotics to deal with the infection.
He did well during surgery, but he lost 7 teeth. He will still have
teeth in all areas of his mouth, but I'm worried about his aftercare,
and his diet after losing these teeth.
I'm sure that the vet will give us plenty of medical information, but
I would appreciate advice from those of you that may have been through
this, as well as dietary suggestions.
I have no idea how old he is. He acts like a young ferret, but those
teeth suggest that he may be older.
