Vicki has since told me of a vet

We're talking about THE main

The body can slowly create new blood vessels that enable this
procedure to succeed, sometimes the slowing down or
cessation of blood flow in the vena cava can be seen with
imaging techniques such as ultrasound prior to surgery.
This was part of a discussion at the Toronto conference by
one of the veterinarians present. Some experienced vets have
been using this procedure for some time.
