There are two adrenal glands and, yes, the typical procedure is to remove the glands (at least
as much as is possible since not all of the right one can always be gotten. The glands
themselves do need to come out and that is likely what happened.

There may be at least part of one remaining in there so then the things to give are Lupron
Depot and melatonin implant.
