Since I have been dealing with recurrent diarrhea with my ferrets for over 2 years now I'm wondering if that is what mine have? No one has been able to find anything. First sample looked at in the vet's office showed 'spore producing bacteria'. Sample sent off to a lab found nothing. Sample done at local vet when cultured showed yeast. Some of mine seems to have won over it now and haven't had it in quite a while. One keeps it every day and at this point is getting very weak. I've put him on Albon and added amoxy, prilosec and pred at this point.

Okay, much appreciated! In the mean time I have a idea. I don't know
that it will prove fruitful. We recently started seeing a exotics vet
here. He was the lead exotics vet at the veterinary college here. He
just recently opened a independent practice. Point is, he has good ties
here. If the study can't be picked up with the people you know, maybe
our DR. can help? It's worth asking.
