Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: Major find/Question-unknown illness!?
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Okay,
See that was just it. Never did we have this neon green..all
day long explosive poops. I have read all the stuff that says not ALL
ferrets will have the neon green. But you would think at least 1
would have . They never really had poops that were happening all day
long (meaning going every few minutes) It's just that when they did
go, it looked awful. And why did it take so long for them to fall ill?
Everything says 24-48 hours. Not almost 2 weeks. And since it can be
carried on clothes...why didn't they get from the time my friend
brought her shelter here?
And when I say ECE meds. I mean all the recommendations that
many good ferret sites list. The only thing that screamed ECE to me
was the fact that my babies seemed to avoid it.
I understand what you are saying about the EGE and ECE. But it
ws what I was getting at. Don't you think other Mink viruses could
change and become ferret a illness.
But ...On the ECE idea. What is the most current recommendations
for treatment out there? And have NO fear. After the year I have had,
I have No plans to aquire any more ferrets. I don't want any more to
be sick and wont risk it. It's just so heart breaking when no matter
what you do, you can't help.
Thank you for the feed back and help here. It's been horrible.
