Subject: [ferrethealth] ADV in California?
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

I am trying to get a feel for how ADV is affecting ferrets in CA. I
checked the archives and didn't really find anything, so does
anyone know of confirmed cases of ADV (clinical signs plus
diagnosis) in the state? I would think there must be because probably
99% of the ferrets in the state come from somewhere else.

One of the reasons why I ask is because I know of a CA vet who sees a
lot of ferrets who stated that ADV testing in CA is unnecessary
because ADV isn't in the state yet (I'm assuming this vet feels this
way because he doesn't believe he's seen a ferret with this disease
and/or heard of other confirmed cases in CA).

Thank you for your input!
