Many thanks to Vicki for your great call on my not being clear enough. (Sent privately)

She pointed out that while Dr. Kawasaki and others involved in the Ferrets magazine
article on acute kidney disease after eating raisins and grapes is an excellent resource to
keep in mind, and despite there being pers.coms on cats, there is only peer reviewed
published work on dogs in relation to renal failure from grapes or raisins:

It is best to have such things called early!

There is a GREAT Feymann quote on this topic of being careful to not confuse hypotheses
with what has been rigorously tested:
"The first principle is that you must not fool yourself - and you are the easiest person to
fool."

Vicki's right and I am wrong. Be careful with raisins because there are strong indicators
that they pose a risk of acute kidney failure in ferrets and cats as well as dogs, but hope
for more either data to have it verified or the mechanism clarifies, or for people to be so
careful that no further cases show up, or some combination.
