Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: older ferret (6.5yrs) choking on kibble
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Yes, I have moistened the kibble, and that does help. I have two
ferrets and I was concerned about providing moistened kibble in the
cage because I was afraid they would both stop eating hard kibble and I
know they need some hard foods to help clean their teeth. But it is
working out okay, they share the soft food, and they both take some
hard kibble as well. I will ask the vet about mouth or throat ulcers
at the next visit.

Thanks,
Kim
