Subject: RE: [ferrethealth] pneumonia treated with Cephalexin not responding, Pecan update
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

At her age the diagnosis could also be wrong so I would reevaluate.
Pneumonia also has other symptoms and treatment and you need to know if it
is fungal, bacterial, etc. Unfortunately Cancer is also on the list. Was
any labwork done or just the x rays? How does her abdomen look? Fungal or
bacterial culture or cytology? A lot is unknown and with no response to
antibiotics you need a more concrete answer. It is possible another
antibiotic may help but if it is another cause you need to know so you can
treat it correctly giving her the best chance at recovery. Good luck hope
you find the answers and they are answers that can be fixed. All the best
and Merry Christmas!

Dr. Sue
