That is one reason that there is a lot of on-going research on the use of t=
his med currently
on at least two continents. It just might be a viable alternative to surge=
ry, BUT not
necessarily for all types of adrenal tumors or all individuals. Still, the=
re is even a past post
from someone who had a ferret in the experimental trials here in the U.S. w=
ho said that it
was showing control for a growth that the combination of Lupron Depot and m=
elatonin
wasn't touching, IF MY MEMORY SERVES CORRECTLY.
In the U.S. Suprelorin/deslorelin depot for ferrets is still considered exp=
erimental but the
USDA is considering application for acceptance. Those applications commonl=
y take 2 or 3
years. It will also help with acceptance (if alternatives are made in the =
U.S.) if the company
shows an inclination to produce the the medication here, and they were tend=
ing in that
direction when they applied in the press release materials released then.
Personally, I am so looking forward to it finally being available here even=
tually and am
jealous of places in Australia, Europe, South America or elsewhere where it=
can be gotten.=20
It looks like it is a superior medical approach and it is longer lasting an=
d cheaper than
current alternatives.
Oh, I asked Dr. Murray and there is still a lack of study into how well or =
badly Suprelorin/
deslorelin and melatonin may do as a combo. It will be truly neat if they =
complement each
other, but that still needs to be studied.

Yes, at the current level of knowledge that is still usually written to be =
the case. Surgery is
still best when possible, but Suprelorin is looking like a truly marvelous =
alternative, though
if it as good as surgery is still unknown unless there is new info.

There is a lot of work on it by Dr. Nico Schoemaker, both older work and cu=
rrent work, and
the work of Dr. Robert Wagner will also be of interest.
Dr. Schoemaker is also investigating it as a possible temporary chemical ne=
utering
approach.
