I use Raw Instinct as part of my "mix" along with
Innova Evo and Totally Ferret and Natural Gold. My
guys seem to like it, and I really like the fact that
it has no grains or potato. I also like the fact that
it contains freeze dried raw chicken, turkey and
turkey livers.

They also have clearly made an effort to use food
based sources of trace minerals and vitamins: some of
the more unusual ingredients are montmorillonite clay
(a very good source of trace minerals and general
toxin remover), duck, quail and pheasant eggs, cottage
cheese, cranberries, kelp, blueberries, etc.... It is
quite an impressive list of ingredients. And while I
normally agree with the first 3 ingredient rule, there
are so many sources of animal protein in this food,
and so little filler that I do believe them when they
say that it is "high in meat protein."

That said, I ALWAYS mix foods to "cover my bases", and
because different ferrets prefer different foods at
different times (sometimes I'll cycle a food in and
out to give them a change. If they've had a variety
before they seem to enjoy the change, unlike dogs or
cats), or in case a food goes out of production.

Just my 2 cents.
