To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

This ferret MUST go to a vet, and if needed to a
veterinary ophthalmologist. The possibilities range
from injury to infection to ocular problems like
glaucoma that can at times simply make the eyes too
painful to want to try opening them. Eye damage is
NOT something to wait on. Even a day makes a
great difference for some problems, and a few days
to a week poses a much larger risk.

Here is one way to find veterinary specialists:

If this is in the U.S.:
http://www.acvo.com/

If in Europe:
http://www.ecvo.org/public/index.htm

(and organizations in specific nations can be found
by selecting ophthalmology inthe pull-down menu
at the vet contact address earlier in this post

If in Canada:

If in South America the person needs to track down
Latin-American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists -
Colegio Latianoamericano de Oftalmologos Veterinarios

Sukie (not a vet)
