Subject: [ferrethealth] ferret with heart problems

I posted a while back about my ferret, Moochie, who was diagnosed with heart arrhythmia. Today he had his EKG and chest x-rays. He has an enlarged heart but his lungs are still clear. He has a definite heart murmur. The results were sent to Cornell University and they strongly advised against putting him under anesthetic so he did not get neutered. The doctor is not sure what is the best course of action at this point since he is still very active and all other organs are fine. He is only eighteen months old. Can someone give me a prognosis on this disability?
