My vet gives a little sedation for blood draws. Its far less stressful for
them and they go down very quickly. You can count to 10 and they are
sleeping. Then she draws from the neck most times...but does use a front or hind
leg on my bigger ferrets. This is the only way I have had blood drawn on any
of my ferrets.
My vet does not charge for the sedation...since its soo little.
