Do be careful, though that there are not poisoning, blockage (ingestion of the covering), or
freezing hazards.
In the hot months we try to keep some pop bottles with frozen water in them in the freezer
and wrap those.
Another trick if the A/C goes out is to close the room door and windows, shut off most heat
creating equipment in the room and then put the ferrets in a large cage, hang wet clothes
over the cage and direct fans to blow at the cage. The evaporative cooling can be quite
effective.
