Unfortunately, now that I no longer have any ADV positive ferrets,
and since Kate Pennick left UGA to attend vet school in MI, I have
lost track of things there.

I had a link to the online form for submitting samples to the
commercial lab, but it is no longer working.

I know that last year the ADV testing for ferrets was supposed to be
transferred from the research lab to the commercial lab, but that the
commercial lab was slow in getting the testing proceedures set up.

Therefore, the best I can suggest is that you or the person with the
ferret contact either Dr. Branson Ritchie (the head of the ADV
research group) or Dr. Kenneth Latimer (one of the pathologists in
the group. Here is their contact information from the UGA online
directory.

KENNETH S LATIMER
telephonenumber: 404-542-5844
postaladdress: 0111 VET MED - 1
postaladdress: ATHENS, GA
postalcode: 30602
ou: PATHOLOGY
mail: latimer@vet.uga.edu
title: PROFESSOR

BRANSON W RITCHIE
telephonenumber: 706-542-6316
postaladdress: H316 VET MED - 1
postaladdress: ATHENS, GA
postalcode: 30602
ou: SMALL ANIMAL MEDICINE
mail: britchie@uga.edu
title: RESEARCH PROFESSOR

I am sorry that I can't give a more complete answer. However, maybe
someone else on this list will be able to provide newer information.
