Carafate is more effective and is extremely safe for most ferrets in general, though I'd have to
check in relation to kidney disease and aluminum but that could be a confused recollection).
Don't give it really close to eating or to when when you give other meds because it coats
some.
Many ferrets happily accept the liquid version that is sold by prescription at any pharmacy.
