If that is a vegetable source lard based on hydrogenated versions of polyunsaturated
vegetable oils too much of polyunsaturated fats can cause nutritional steatis (yellow fat
disease) by interfering with Vitamin E and also if memory serves it is not optimal for kidneys.
I seem to recall that the omega fatty acid balance isn't optimal.
Of course, it does not sound like you are giving a lot.
