Subject: [ferrethealth] My Burton has passed...juvenile lymphoma
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

My baby boy Burton passed over the rainbow bridge Tues night. He recieved the mercy shot
because we finally discovered the reason for his incessant fever and labored breathing and
lethargy over the past week. He had tumors in his lungs/heart...most likely juvenile
lymphoma. A necropsy was performed and samples were sent to pathology for a difinitive
diagnosis. Burton was so uncomfortable, and I chose to let him go with dignity before he got
worse. We spent the afternoon before he passed together outside in the grass cuddling and
exploring...I will never forget him. I have never had a pet love me as much as he did. I intend
to post the diary I kept of the duration of his illness, so others can learn from it. I hope none
of your babies have to go through what my Burty did, and someday we can understand why
the little ones suffer this insidious disease.
