Subject: [ferrethealth] RE: Is it DIM?
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com
It may be worthwhile to have a potential blood donor ferret on hand for the biospy in case his PCV drops further or there is, for some reason, a lot of blood loss (I can't see why there would be, but anesthesia can certainly lower the PCV).
Best,
April (vet tech and ferret owner)
[Moderator's Note: This ferret turned out to instead have thoracic tumors, tentatively diagnosed as Juvenile Lymphoma until more data is in. Sadly, things worsened so badly that a mercy shot was needed. Lymphoma, especially Juvenile Lymphoma, has been mistaken for DIM in the past and vice versa.]
