Subject: [ferrethealth] Aggressive Female
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com
I've been asked about a sterilized female ferret that has turned
aggressive. Approx 18 months old, she is eating and eliminating well
and has her usual energy. She has 2 male ferret playmates with whom
she gets on very well.
Recently she has acted "cranky" and has (really) tried to kill the cat,
with whom she formerly played, causing a vet visit and sutures. She
also now attacks a human house-mate and has caused wounds to his hand.
She is still gentle with her owner.
Does this ring any bells for anyone or seem to be a precursor to an
illness?
Thanks for any thoughts.
Shirley
