To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Emily each ferret is different when it comes to tolerating meds.; some tummys are just
more sensitive.
My Waffles has been on pred for 3 yrs, and currently Lupron and a melatonin implant.
Sha has always been rail-slat thin, and always had a fine appetite.
One thing that works for her is feeding her a "meal' before the meds.
In the am she'll eat herself before med time,I have had a few who will do this on their own.
In the afternoon she enjoys a big helping of "mush" before med time.
Due to her constitution, and the feeding-full stomach, I have been able to avoid dosing
her with more meds for the meds.
To date she has had no indication of an irritated stomach.
It all depends on the individual though. :)
