Subject: [ferrethealth] Enriching the life of a single ferret
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com
As some of you know, my Burton passed away Tues night at age 18 mon. He left behind a
broken hearted mommmy, as well as sister named Izzy (same age). Until I am ready, Izzy will
be a single ferrret, and I am wondering if anyone has any tips on how to enrich her life. I
know there must be some people out there that have had just one ferret at some time, or a
ferret that liked to be alone. Right now I try to "wrestle" with her like Burton did, and let her
chase me. I have a leash to take her outside, but she gets nervous out there (she is a skidish
little girl...but we are woring on that). I also lay on the floor with her to play. She has lots of
toys..but toys are not enough in my mind. Any tips or suggestions would be lovely. She is
doing well since Burton left us...but I want to make her as happy as I possibly can while I
heal.
Thanks,
Amanda
