About 90% of UK ferrets are bred for hunting or from hunting stock but
that does not make them aggressive pets. Not being handled from soon
after birth lets them keep their fear of humans/aggressive behavior. I
start handling the kits 3 or 4 times a day when they are a week old so
they know the difference between raw meat and my fingers before they are
3 weeks as that's when I start them on solid food. Chris.
