Another enrichment not mentioned here is to fill a basin full of
water and put ice cubes and or small toys like ping pong balls in
it. some ferrets will fish the toys out, some will snorkel some
will dig, and yet others will just drink the water. even better,
fill the basin with snow when avaiable!
also, many people keep their ferret toys on rotation, bring out
different sets of toys each week or so. when you bring out toys
they haven't seen in a while, it's brand new to them!
also, if you're not into live prey for food enrichment - try this:
Drag a safe fruit along the floor for a few feet in a zig zag, leaving a fruit
scented trail for them to follow. You could substitute another treat if you
wish. Get creative if
you wish, trailing them onto sofas or into cabinets. my ferrets
never get tired of this game!
