Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: Ferret Vaccine Reactions/IBD
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Don't give vaccines at the end of the hospital day.

Separate vaccines.

Stay in the hospital at least 45 minutes after vaccinations.

Most reactions are to canine distemper vaccines, but
reactions can happen to rabies vaccines.

If a vet has encountered multiple reactions from a batch
of vaccines it needs ot be considered that perhaps
somewhere in transport the vaccines many have not been
handled properly. The batch itself may be bad as a result.

Reactions should be reported. The page seems to have
moved, but if by starting at
http://www.fda.gov/cder/
it should be able to be found
