My reply:
While it is true that some malignancies are invasive into the underlying
tissue, the blanket statement above is not true - there are certainly malignant
tumors that are freely movable. The ferret referred to in the original post has
a large, firm mass which was unable to be aspirated easily and that needs to
be evaluated. Fatty tumors tend to be soft and very easily aspirated.
