By reading below, it looks like the product you are talking about is
what Dr. Murray mentioned in his post under #4. One kitten size tube
once a month.
Are you looking to treat both heartworms and the fleas? You can
always treat heartworms separately with ivermectin once a month and
the plain Frontline, advantage,etc for the fleas.
If you are in a more northern climate where you wouldn't treat for
fleas all year round this might be a better option.
But either way, it looks like these products are ok to use on ferrets.

I like this product though for the ear mite coverage, that may be a
reason enough to use it if you have multiple ferrets, a rescue or
problems with recurrent ear mites.
