Subject: Re: [ferrethealth] possible juvenile lymphoma?
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Hi Cathy, I had an appx 2 year old female that was diagnosed with lymphoma via biopsy. Her spleen was so enlarged (within a matter of about a week), that it needed removal, and that, along with another organ (I cant recall which one) confirmed it was lymphoma. She was right at the 2 yo mark, so we couldnt positively say it was JL, but it was so aggressive and fast that the vet believed it was. I did the Tuft's chemo protocol to try to help her, which got her an extra 3 months. Not sure if you know or not, but if it is the juvenile form, please be aware that it is extremely swift, so if your regular vet is out for awhile, you may want to find another one to try to help him.

One of my shelter ferrets is a Marshall's male, 14-15 months old, and
has been healthy in the past. In the past week all of his lymphnodes,
including the ones in his neck enlarged dramatically, where you can
visually see them when you look at him. <snip>
