I would , considering that the spleen is on the left, look into the
possibility of lymphatic disease.
As in humans,, the lymph nodes run quite similar: neck, armpits, inner
thigh etc. Mostly, from my small experience, once the splenn is
palpably compramised things can advance quickly.
Also, though these many tests recommended will clear up the question
of whats ailing him (hopefully), I'd get a second opinion as well.
