This is called cryo-surgery. My vet usually does a right adrenal this
way, and with excellent results. There is less chance of complications,
and the recovery time is much shorter with this technique. My vet's
standard practice with any adrenal surgery is to completely remove the
left, and, unless the right is enlarged, just to cryo it. If the right
is enlarged, he will cut away as much as he can, and cryo what remains.

Some vets prefer to remove the right by cutting, and if this is what
they are used to doing, it is also good. What a vet is most comfortable
doing is what is going to work the best for him/her.
