Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: Food question Innova Evo Ferret
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Dear Debi,
While switching to a higher fat food (and it's generally the fat not
the protein that's the problem) can cause loose poops, especially short
term, if your ferrets required "medication" and especially ivermectin
which is used to kill parasites it sounds to me that more was going on
than just a food change.

On the other hand, I have had older rescues come in that could just
never adjust to "good" food (eg TF, Innova etc) because their systems
couldn't seem to handle the higher fat after years of malnutrition.
