Subject: [ferrethealth] Recovering from the flu and other questions
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Hi All,

Have been on the FHL but haven't been around for a while. I have a 4
year old female ferret called Bam. She had the flu around 6 weeks ago
and since then she's been pretty quiet. It took her WEEKS to start to
get over it (is this normal?). She's still pretty quiet, happy enough,
eating (a bit skinny) but isn't quite her playful self. She still
seems to be having some respiratory issues (blocked and runny nose and
coughing) is a little lethargic but eating okay (she did lose some
weight and has maybe put a little back on). Last time I took her to
the vet for similar issues as it was taking her ages to get over
illness it wasn't much use. She actually got sick while I was overseas
and the guys who were looking after her took her to the vet and got
her a course of antibiotics. Just any thoughts about the ongoing
lethargy and respiratory issues?

Thanks,

Natalie
