Subject: [ferrethealth] Any hope for a bad spleen?

I've had a couple spleen removals from my ferrets for enlarged spleens
but I took in a beautiful boy, approx 5 yrs old, whose spleen is
apparently full of lymphoma, by vet palpation. Vet said if we open him
up it could be the end right then or spread the disease. Ferret needs to
be fed mush and is unable to stand at all. I have to wipe up after him,
rinse him off and keep him on a towel. If there is no hope for him I
will have to send him to the rainbow bridge soon.
