Ivermection is not only used for paraasites. A
well known vet in PA who is very respected by the ferret rescues and
breeders ( she is/was a ferret breeder herself) had told me to try
using the Ivermection. She explained that it can also help with
intestonal inflamation caused by foods and upsets.

My reply:

**Ivermectin does not do a thing for intestinal inflammation, as far as I am
aware. It is an anti-parasiticide, period. I suspect you may be getting it
confused with metronidazole, which in addition to being effective against some
parasites and many bacteria, does indeed aid in controlling intestinal
inflammation.

If you are aware of any studies regarding ivermectin being used as an
anti-inflammatory, please direct me to them. Or better yet, please ask the
vet/breeder you are referring to to contact me, as I would be very interested in this
(I honestly thought I was the only vet/breeder in PA, btw).**

Dr. Ruth
