Subject: [ferrethealth] Vacationing
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Mom wants me to go with her to Tennessee, which means being seperated
from my sweetie Delilah.

I have zero friends,family members,or co-workers that I either would
and/or could board her with.

Is the only option I have left is at a vets?
I'm sure there are Pet boarders in the private sector, but frankly,I'm
nervous about entrusting her to someone/some company I don't know.

I could leave plenty of food and water available for her via automatic
food & waterers, but that leaves the bathroom issue problematical,at
least how I see it. Presently, when I leave for work,I place her in my
spacious bathroom, with food and water, and newspaper down in two
corners, and I just replace the newspapers and repeat each day-no big
deal. After work,when I'm home,she is a free range ferret,and chooses to
use my cats litterbox.

If she's placed in the bathroom for several days on end though....
Any suggestions? I'm certain ferrents take vactions without their
babies, but I bet friends and family members assume the substitute
ferrenting responsibilities in many cases.
