Subject: [ferrethealth] Gilroy is gone- the bad spleen boy

Yesterday he was vomiting all food and stool was bad with black blood so
the spleen must have ruptured. Yes, he was handled as gently as
possible. I did what I could but I am most furious with the owner who
took off on vacation leaving the sick ferret with a neighbor and didn't
want to do anything for him. The neighbor called many places asking for
help, finally found my phone number and I took it upon myself to go
there and see what I could do. I took him to the vet for for euthanasia
(good death) and gave him a decent burial in my pet cemetery.
